Where to Eat and Drink in Cusco, Peru

Some of the best restaurants in Peru are found in Cusco. You can find anything from traditional Peruvian food, Ceviche, Italian and hamburgers. A golden tip here is to not order a huge plate. The reason is that it is hard to digest because of the altitude.  Here is a list of where to eat in Cusco.

Marcelo Batata

I really loved Marcelo Batata, especially because of the food and the welcoming staff. The food is made to perfection. The plates are huge so you might want to share a plate or go for a starter. I got a Matambre dish like the one in the picture above. This place gets packed at dinner time so it is ideal to book ahead.

Bembos

If you need food quick and don't have time to wait. Skip Mc Donalds, Bembos is ten times better and Peruvians love it! Bembos is placed right on Plaza de Armas and is open until 11 PM.

Limbos Restobar

Limbos Resto Bar - Where to eat Cusco

A good place for an amazing view of Cusco city. I recommend getting here around sunset so you see daylight going into nighttime. They have dinners as well as amazing drinks. Limbos is open to 1 AM so it is an excellent spot to spend the evening. Bring warm clothes if you planning on sitting outside!

Morena Peruvian Kitchen

My favourite restaurant in Cusco. Beautiful design and atmosphere. You can get Peruvian food made with passion as well as the drinks looking amazing.   Good place for dinner or lunch as well as drinks. It can be a good idea to book ahead if you plan to eat at the busiest time ( from 8 PM - 9 PM)

Cicciolina

Small and delicious plates made beautifully. Probably the most formal restaurant I went to in Cusco. That doesn't mean you have to dress up though. It is very tourist friendly. You should book a table two days before if you want to have dinner there. A good place to eat if you feel like something small and delicate.

Jacks Cafe

Definitely the best cafe in Cusco. You can get breakfast at any time of the day, the cafe opens at 7:30 AM. It can get quite crowded in the afternoon and you might have to wait till get seated, but it is definitely worth it. The staff is very friendly and you can get all kinds of dishes there as well, it is not only for coffee or breakfast.

A very stylish place to get snacks and drinks. It is at two levels and it is often a band playing upstairs. It is a great place to go if you are many and want to drink. Museo del Pisco is open until 1 AM which is a good place to drink if you want to be close to Plaza Armas.
