Thailand is a magical place. It is a paradise where we can escape as far away from the real world as possible and we can feel free and at one with nature. If you are looking for some new destinations to add to your bucket list this year, one of the first places on your wish list should be Thailand.

Here are some of the top places you need to see in Thailand this summer.

Chiang Mai

The first place on your list for Thailand travel vacations should be the northern capital of the country. This is a stunning area of the country and it is the ideal place to visit if you want to see plenty of tourist attractions, great restaurants and still a joy some green areas. It is a hugely friendly place to visit and everyone will welcome you with open arms as soon as you step foot in the city. If you love people, love a vibrant atmosphere and love the heat: the is the place to be.

Pai

If you want to miss out the hustle and bustle of the city during your trip, you can take a trip to this more mellow village in Thailand. Pai is a wonderful little area which is packed with yoga retreats, healthy places to eat and a friendly set of people. It is truly a wonderful place to visit and should be a staple in your bucket list. You can take a hike through the riverside and view some stunning waterfalls, and then come back home to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.

Railay

Railay is the perfect spot if you want to take a romantic day trip away from the mainland and feel as if you are the only people in the entire world. The entire area is surrounded by mountains on all sides, and it is a hugely popular rock climbing destination for many people due to the sheer faces of the mountains. If you want one of the most magical and instagrammable places in Thailand, this is ideal for you.

Ayutthaya

If you love learning about the culture and other religions practiced around the world then this is the perfect location to enjoy your stay. The area is only a short train journey from Bangkok and it is a UNESCO world heritage site due to the incredible temple ruins which line the area. There is even a Buddha statue’s head which has a tree growing around it!

Islands in Thailand

We, of course, couldn’t write up a post about Thailand without mentioning the many islands which grace its territory. There are many different islands which surround Thailand and all of them have their own amazing qualities. There are stunning white sand beaches, beautiful natural landmarks, secluded bays and retreats for families and couples wanting a break from the real world. You could even make a trip out of it and aim to visit as many islands as you can during your holiday. And trust us, you won’t be disappointed.
