Mexico

Mexico has a whole host of beautiful and interesting places to visit this time of year.

The most well-known of these is Cancun, founded as a holiday resort in the 1970s, and home to some beautiful five-star hotels. If you feel like getting adventurous you can head out to for some of the stunning Mayan remains of Chichen Itza and Uxmal.

You can hit the clubs in Cabo San Lucas and dance the night away, though there is more to the area than late night drinking and raves. There are some very fine dining experiences and some interesting cultural and natural sites of interest as well.

Cat Ba Island, Vietnam

This is a stunning national park which is also the home of the UNESCO world heritage site Ha Long Bay. Cat Ba is the largest island in the park and there are many places for tourists to have fun at. For one, karaoke bars can offer you a lot of good time. The food is great, the people are friendly and this is one of the best places to spend your getaway.

Southern Thailand

There’s a reason Southern Thailand has become such a well-established holiday destination.

Every year it attracts thousands of revellers for its full moon parties on the iconic Koh Samui. The area is rich with biodiversity, and if you’ve ever thought of getting a beautiful view of marine life this is, without a doubt, one of the best places to start. You can snorkel amongst clownfish and parrot fish and even get up close and personal with the beautiful whale sharks that are regularly found in its waters.

You can even take a ride out to meet some Florida’s most memorable residents in the Everglades, though you might want to watch your toes.

Hawaii

When one thinks of paradise, it is likely you will conjure up images of Hawaii, tiki print and grass skirts, gentle ukulele music playing as you doze in a hammock.

The good news is that the dream is real, and Hawaii really is that idyllic.

“You can go turtle spotting in Honolulu or visit some of its intriguing museums on the Pacific War. There is the iconic Diamond Head volcano, now thankfully dormant but nevertheless an interesting excursion for the amateur geologist” says Lisa Sutton, a Travel blogger at Writemyx and Next Coursework.

Or you could visit the main island and visit the Hawaii volcanos and view the lava flows (at a distance). But of course the main attractions are beaches and if you’re sporting enough the excellent surf.

Jeju Island, South Korea

This island is also considered the Hawaii of South Korea. It’s a perfect place for couples, honeymooners but also single people and families - it’s one of the most favorite places among Koreans.
