Try Something New This Summer - Charter A Sailboat

If you feel as though you’re stuck in a rut with regards to the way you spend your summer holidays, why not try something a little different this year!

It’s easy to book the same old two weeks in the med, year after year, simply because it works and you have a nice time. The world is a vast place with so much to offer the tourist, maybe it’s time to think a little “out of the box” this year and book something that will fulfill even the most adventurous spirit.

There are so many activities and places to choose from that are a little bit different. Here’s a small selection.

Go sailing

A sailing holiday is possibly the most flexible adventure you can possibly have. You have so much freedom to choose where you visit and for how long. You’re not restricted to the same resort as a traditional hotel holiday often is, you can explore coastlines, bays and Islands at leisure, pausing for the occasional swim, snorkel or dive. You can enjoy the luxury of your own Sailboat charter, complete with your own skipper, or maybe book a holiday to learn sailing skills. Whichever you choose the holiday will progress at your own pace. You will still have the option of exploring towns, resorts and villages, with the option of returning to your own floating hotel on an evening, just in time to watch the sunset.

Go on safari

Many people have going on safari on their travel bucket list. Going on safari gives you the opportunity to view wild animals normally only seen in zoos or in story books. Kenya is a popular destination to spot lions, tigers, zebra, wildebeest, giraffes and elephants on the grassy savannah, in forests and deserts. You could opt to book a water safari which will provide you with the opportunity to view animals as they come to drink from river banks. Safari’s offer adventure, you can stay under canvas or choose a more luxury option of a lodge. There are many travel operators available to offer advice on tours.

Climb a mountain

Mountaineering is exciting and exhilarating with more than a sprinkling of risk. You will challenge yourself to complete climbs you thought were achievable and you will get a real buzz from success. When you conquer the peak you will feel as well as be “on top of the world!” There are mountains at home and overseas all waiting to be climbed, all with differing levels of difficulty. Embarking on a mountaineering trip requires a considerable amount of planning, not to mention level of fitness. It would be unwise to set off without prior knowledge or the terrain and risks involved. Ideally you should consider booking with a reputable organisation, who will provide expert advice and a guide.

Ensure you have all the necessary safety equipment and suitable footwear and clothing.

Try something new this year by thinking “out or the box” you will feel fulfilled and refreshed on your return, ready to face your next challenge!
